Swiss Made - 8 rubis - 1850-1900

Swiss-made pocket watch, dating from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, with cylinder escapement and 8 jewels, as indicated by the inscription “Cylindre – Huit Rubis” on the inner cover.

Particularly charming is the case back decorated with a wreath of flowers and leaves, engraved on a background of concentric stripes. At the center, a shield with an intertwined monogram adds a personal touch to the whole.

The white dial features black Roman numerals, outer minute marks, and small seconds at 6 o’clock, accompanied by elegant gold-colored hands. A decorative curb-link chain is included, with a swiveling hook and a ring closure.

The case and chain are silver-colored; the materials have not been tested and are not declared as silver.

The watch is running; precision and power reserve have not been tested.

The dial shows cracks and areas with damage or previous repairs around the central pin and between 7 and 8 o’clock. There is patina, scratches and small dents on the case.
