Frame with significant high relief on a 925 silver plate
The work depicts a maritime landscape worked in repoussé, characterized by moored boats in the foreground, stairs and typical buildings of a fishing village looking out to the sea. The work is set in a wide fabric mat, enclosed by a two-tone gold and silver frame.
The large silver plate bears all the stamps and specifications of the work, the author and the material.
Specifically ("MC"): The monogram enclosed in the square indicates the artist's signature and the art workshop. This mark is associated with MC Argenti or with the designer and author M. Castelli
Next to the signature you can see the inscription "Ag 925". According to Italian regulations on precious metal work, this inscription attests to the use of a plate or a silver bilaminate.
On the left is engraved the progressive number 3788 accompanied by a small symbol
This certifies that the work is part of a series in a very limited edition and its provenance
The dimensions of the framed picture are 54 cm in height by 62 cm in width
The condition of the very heavy central plate is perfect, without the slightest defect
The frame in precious wood shows small signs of wear and two microchips under a centimeter, easily repairable. The work has an attached manufacturer’s certificate (as in the photo)
