La Lancette Française, Gazette des Hôpitaux civils et militaires – 3 consecutive years, 1866–1868, first edition, leather binding, French, Medicine, 1900 pages, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Paris, At the offices of the Gazette des Hôpitaux, 8 rue de l’Université.
The set comprises:
1866 – 39th year
1867 – 40th year
1868 – 41st year
These volumes bring together the various issues of the Gazette and constitute a particularly rich documentation on French medicine of the Second Empire: clinical medicine, surgery, pathologies, therapeutics, hospital work, scientific communications and medical reports.
The photographs notably allow one to see the issues from the beginning and the end of the years as well as numerous period medical articles.
A particularly interesting set due to the continuity of the three years 1866, 1867 and 1868.
It should also be noted that these volumes form the direct chronological continuation of the 1869–1871 set recently offered by the same seller, enabling a collector to assemble six consecutive years, from 1866 to 1871.
Condition as shown in the photographs: paper showing foxing, stains and signs of time, as well as creases on some large sheets. An old set remaining perfectly legible. The photographs are an integral part of the description.
