Description from the seller

Paolo Contin
Where Silence Breaks
Acrylic on canvas - 72 x 98 x 0.1 cm
Certificate of authenticity with date and authentic signature on the back of the canvas.
The painting will be shipped rolled inside a sturdy cardboard tube.
Shipping to countries outside the European Community is not allowed due to excessive costs.

WHERE SILENCE BREAKS A powerful gesture crosses the material and breaks the apparent quiet.
The black line cuts and divides, the circle gathers and recomposes.
Against the strength of contrast stands the breath of color, between silence and movement, matter and sign. An instinctive, unrepeatable balance.

PAOLO CONTIN has been developing, for over twenty-five years, a personal artistic path in constant evolution. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he brings to painting a particular sensitivity to color, form, and the balance of composition.
Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 held his first solo show in Padua. This has been followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with presence in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.
Paolo Contin’s artistic journey is also documented by inclusion in the Mondadori Art Catalog with corresponding price quotations. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo shows and major Art Fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute.
He was also among the founding members of “Tostart,” an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active until the pandemic period.
A versatile and independent artist, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, distant from belonging to any single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, matter-based and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, fields, geometric shapes, and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he investigates balance, movement, and emotion.
Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works constructed through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a research that goes beyond the limits of painting alone.
His work continues to evolve today without preset formulas: every work arises from the desire to preserve freedom, identity, and expressive authenticity."
