Original from 1896 of the plate volume of the “Treatise on Gnomonics considered from the point of view of direct application of descriptive geometry,” the work of Antonio Rovira y Rabassa (1845–1919), architect and professor at the Barcelona School of Architecture.

Published in Barcelona by Librería y Estampería Artística.

This copy corresponds to the plate volume or atlas of the work and contains the 24 plates, with numerous diagrams and geometric constructions dedicated to gnomonics and to the design and calculation of different types of sundials.

The plates include representations of horizontal, vertical and inclined sundials, as well as various geometric constructions and representations related to the solar movement.

Condition:
Condition consistent with its approximately 130 years of age. The cover shows wear, stains, small losses and edge and corner damage. Interior with normal signs of aging, small stains and oxidation typical of old paper. The photographs are part of the description and show in detail the condition of the copy.
