Description from the seller

A fine Meissen porcelain vase decorated with the iconic Roter Drache (Red Court Dragon) pattern.

This elegant trumpet-shaped vase is finely decorated in iron-red and gold with the characteristic East Asian-inspired Roter Drache design. The decoration incorporates stylised phoenix birds, elongated dragon motifs and ornamental elements, complemented by delicate gilded detailing and a refined gold rim.

The vase has a clean white porcelain ground and an elegant flared form, typical of Meissen table and decorative porcelain.

The underside bears the famous underglaze blue crossed swords mark of Meissen.

The piece is approximately 14 cm high and is presented in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips or restoration. The gilding and painted decoration are well preserved.

The Roter Drache pattern is one of Meissen’s most iconic East Asian-inspired designs, originally introduced in the 18th century and subsequently produced in various periods. The motif traditionally combines phoenix birds and Chinese court dragons.

A beautiful collector’s piece suitable for a Meissen porcelain collection or as an elegant decorative object.
