AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Hendrik Cornelis Kranenburg.
5 December 1917 - 31 January 1997
Beautiful impressionistic painting of a typical Dutch fishing village.
A village by the water, seems to me a river.
With one boat on the water, and two on the shore. There are people on the quay, as well as on the boat. A beautiful piece of impressionism.
H.C. Kranenburg painted, watercolored, drew (also with pen), etched and lithographed cityscapes, landscapes and portraits. In addition, he made wall paintings and was a gifted sculptor. Yet he is best known for his oil paintings.
The painting measures 30.5 cm x 39 cm without frame. With frame 37.5 cm x 46 cm.
Condition: in good condition, of course with signs of use, including small stains.
Photos are part of the description.
These were taken under artificial light, color may vary. Atmosphere impressions are shown.
The painting will be well packed and sent by registered mail.
