AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Electric Field #3 — 2026

Colored cardboard cut into modules and glued onto prepared wooden board, with a back frame to create a wall-suspension effect.
Dimensions: 70 cm Diameter

With Electric Field #3, Marco Ercoli continues his research into chromatic vibrations through a circular composition built for stratifications, rhythms and visual tensions.

The work arises from the juxtaposition of numerous colored cardboard modules, cut and manually applied to the wooden surface. The tight repetition of the elements generates a dynamic weave that turns color into structure and movement, creating an optical effect that can change depending on distance and the angle of the viewer.

The composition revolves around a central nucleus from which different energy fields seem to propagate. Blues, turquoises, reds, oranges, greens and more neutral tones meet in broad color zones that do not stay separate, but contaminate each other, producing vibrant transitions and continuous perceptual variations.

In Electric Field #3 the circle is not only a support, but an integral part of the work’s language: a closed form that, through the internal rhythm of the color fields, suggests expansion, rotation and flow.

The surface, rich in reliefs and micro-variations, gives the work a strong tactile and almost kinetic quality. Light touches the edges of the modules, altering the perception of the colors and emphasizing the impression of a material traversed by impulses.

With this series, Ercoli gradually moves away from figuration to focus his research on essential elements: color, rhythm, material, light and perception. Electric Field #3 thus becomes an open visual field, lacking a single reading, inviting the observer to enter into direct relation with the surface and its continuous chromatic vibrations.

The work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
