PAOLO CONTIN has been developing a personal and continually evolving artistic path for more than twenty-five years. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he brings to painting a special sensitivity to color, form and compositional balance.
Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo show in Padua. This was followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with appearances in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires and Sydney.
Paolo Contin's artistic journey is also documented by his inclusion in the Catalogo dell' Arte Mondadori with related price quotes. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo exhibitions and major art fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute.
He was also among the founding members of "Tostart", an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active until the onset of the Pandemic.
Eclectic and independent, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, distant from belonging to a single school or tendency. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, blocks, geometric shapes and intense color relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he examines balance, movement and emotion.
Experimentation extends to sculpture and wood as well, with works built through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a pursuit that goes beyond painting alone.
His work continues to evolve today without fixed formulas: every work is born from the will to preserve freedom, identity and expressive authenticity.
