Amazing XL Muonionalusta METEORITE Slice (Sweden, 1906) Widmanstätten Pattern. - 78.9 g

A million years ago, a large metallic-bodied planetoid impacted the north of Scandinavia, in present-day Sweden. This meteorite is known by the name Muonionalusta, and to this day it is the oldest meteorite on Earth of which there is record. It was first discovered in 1906, and since then some specimens have been recovered, usually small in size.

The specimen in this lot is a high-quality, large slice in excellent condition, from which spectacular Widmanstätten patterns can be observed, some of them wrinkled by the impact, something very rare to see and appreciated by collectors.

Quality and size for a great collection. Cut very thin to have a large surface area relative to weight. A fantastic specimen. Don’t miss this opportunity!

All of our meteorites come with certificates from IMCA (International Meteorite Collectors Association), GMA, and The Meteoritical Society, associations of which we are members and the most important worldwide, so we guarantee the authenticity of all our meteorites for life. Buy with guarantees.

Best regards and our best wishes.
