Oil painting on wood, dating from the 1960s... there are cracks at the intersection of the crucifix (due to the passage of time) visible when zooming in on the photo, but they do not affect the beauty of the painting.
The crucifix is in wood and was built by the same artist.
Being the master's son, I can authenticate the authenticity of the work.

Federico Bertini (1908 – 1992)
The Master studied fresco painting at the Scuola di Arte Sacra in Milan, under the guidance of Prof. Albertella.
Painter, decorator, fresco artist, he carried out several restoration works in churches and aristocratic palaces in Italy and abroad.
His works are found in various picture galleries around the world.
A verist painter, he especially enjoyed depicting portraits and reproducing mythological scenes. He taught at the Artistic Family – School of Painting based in Pioltello.
Several of his works are in Basilica San Paolo Maggiore in Bologna, in the Church of the Barnabites in Rome, and in the church of the town of Pioltello Vecchio dating back to 1700. (in addition to his paintings, he also frescoed the old paintings of this church).
In his life the Master won many exhibitions such as the Mantua Virgilio prize in 1978, the Guercino painting competition of the town of Cento (Ferrara), for 3 years the prize of the City of Milan "Artist of the Year" and another 150 exhibitions throughout Italy and abroad.
Awards: in 1980 named as an honorable academic for painting, Tuscan Academy "Il Macchiavello". National prize "Leone d'Oro" Florence 1981, and various other recognitions in Italy and abroad.
