Lalique brooch in the shape of a stylised flower, made from natural leather and crystal, 9 cm wide, weighing 16.18 g, made in France, unisex, in good used condition with minor marks.
Description from the seller
Lalique is an art of crystal work, as well as jewelry. In 2000, Marie-Claude Lalique, drawing on this dual tradition, created a collection of crystal jewelry inspired by floral shapes.
Vintage brooch (2000s) composed of petals in natural leather and a center in frosted translucent crystal, adorned with a floral motif, which sparkles with elegance, echoing René Lalique's creations.
Lalique brooch in the shape of a stylized flower (gardenia type).
On the back, the engraving “LALIQUE” is present. The clasp is very reliable. Thanks to a complex assembly technique developed by René Lalique at the start of the century, the crystal captures light and disperses multiple reflections.
In these refined creations, René Lalique designed some of the most beautiful pieces of the Art Nouveau period. He was a pioneer in using volume in jewelry, as well as in the use of semi-precious stones and innovative materials such as glass, enamel, leather, horn, and mother-of-pearl.
Dimensions: 9 cm x 8 cm.
The brooch is in very good overall condition despite its age. However, due to the presence of two small marks that appeared naturally over time, I classify it as being in good condition rather than very good.
These two marks, of a pink color slightly darker than that of the brooch, are located on two petals. They are not caused by a substance or external stain, but appeared gradually over time.
They are visible only from certain angles and when light hits the petals directly. When wearing the brooch, these two small marks are practically imperceptible.
Delivered with a transparent protective pouch non-original.
No box.
