Box - Malachite - Jewellery box

A heavy vintage jewellery box with natural malachite stone veneer panels showing banded green patterns, mounted over a solid metal base. The inside of the lid is reinforced with clear acrylic and the box is lined with soft fabric. Mid to late 20th century (likely); maker and origin unknown.

Dimensions: H 7 x W 17 x D 12 cm. Weight: 2,086 g.
