Description from the seller

Paris pink-ground hard-paste porcelain cup – Early 19th century, Restoration, Locré

Hard-paste porcelain cup, notable for its bright pink ground with a refreshing tone, a color quite rare. A refined frieze encircles the upper part: a finely striped background, punctuated by continuous dots and diamonds, enclosing a small stylized flower. The whole is highlighted by a gold rim, demonstrating very neat workmanship.

The form, less common, adds to the piece's charm: an elegantly flared silhouette toward the rim, narrowing at the base to form an inverted cone resting on a light footring. The overall harmony is supported by high-quality gilding.

H 5.6 cm, cup
D 12.5 cm, saucer, wear

Condition

Very good original condition, wear to the bottom of the saucer (see photograph).
No restoration, no damage.

Era

Early 19th century – Restoration period

Mark

Brush-mark in cobalt blue underglaze: two crossed flames (or torches), points downward for Locré

Shipping

Fast and careful dispatch, in reinforced packaging suitable for fragile pieces. Shipping costs adjusted by weight and destination for controlled pricing.

For any questions or further details, I am happy to help.
