Collection of picture cards featuring colour portraits of actors, actresses, singers and musical groups. Numerous examples bear the Vlinder name and have a yellow border, with the subject’s name and numbering along the bottom.

The cards are housed in a brown hardcover stockbook with transparent retaining strips and protective interleaving sheets. The collection includes different series and duplicates.

Among the personalities represented are Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tom Jones, Roy Orbison, Cliff Richard, Johnny Hallyday, Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot, Audrey Hepburn, Claudia Cardinale, Romy Schneider, Roger Moore and Paul Newman. It also includes images of groups such as The Beatles and Black Sabbath.

The stockbook shows rubbing and marks on the covers, as well as staining and yellowing on the interior pages and protective sheets. A handwritten inscription with a previous owner’s details appears on the front endpaper. Some cards show edge wear, creases and small tears.

The condition of the stockbook and cards can be seen in the images. The photographs form an integral part of the description.

The lot will be packed with the utmost care.
