Five-branch bronze candlestick from France, dating to 1930–1940, with a central onyx shaft, measuring 42 cm high, 28 cm wide and 28 cm deep, in good condition with age-related wear and stains.
Description from the seller
I am selling this magnificent antique five-branch candelabrum (five lights), a true collectible piece that blends elegance and authenticity.
• Style: Louis XV / Rocaille-inspired, characterized by superb carved decorations of scrolls, foliate volutes, and asymmetric botanical motifs.
• Materials: Structure and light arms in solid bronze (or patinated brass) finely chiselled, complemented by a central stem and a lower node in genuine onyx with beautiful natural hues (creamy, beige and orange-brown gradations).
• Era: Early 20th century (Napoléon III / Belle Époque period).
• Condition: Very good overall condition for its age. The bronze has a superb original patina and the onyx stone is well preserved. It is ideal for dressing a fireplace, a sideboard, or a festive table.
