The historical edition of the Declaration of the Whole Holy Scripture, by some of the leading English theologians from 1740 is a monumental and unique project in Dutch book and church history. In common parlance and in the antique world this series is simply known as "The Patrick, Polus and Wells."
The role of Joan van den Honert
The renowned Leiden professor of theology Joan van den Honert (T.H. son) played a key role in the project. He wrote an extensive and highly valued preface to the work. His approval ensured that this precious work at the time immediately secured a fixed and authoritative place in the bookshelves of Dutch pastors and well-to-do families.
The Map of Canaan / The Promised Land: This map shows the original division of the twelve tribes of Israel and the journeys of Abraham.
