Vintage 1990 18k yellow gold sapphire and diamond ring, hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office, featuring a natural oval-cut sapphire (~0.60 ct) surrounded by a 17-diamond halo (~0.20 ct) in a refined setting, EU size 50 (UK L / US 5¼), in very good condition.
Description from the seller
A refined vintage 18ct gold sapphire and diamond ring, fully hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office for 1990. The ring is centred with a natural oval-cut sapphire of approximately 0.60 ct, displaying a bright, lively blue colour with subtle violet undertones and attractive natural internal character.
The sapphire is surrounded by a delicate halo of 17 natural brilliant-cut diamonds, with an estimated combined weight of approximately 0.20 ct. The compact halo setting gives the sapphire additional brilliance while retaining a particularly elegant and finely proportioned appearance. Decorative gold shoulders flow into a slender polished band, giving the ring a graceful vintage profile.
The combination of vivid sapphire, diamond detailing and classic 18ct gold construction makes this an attractive choice as either a refined cocktail ring or a distinctive vintage engagement ring.
