Cluny 12 Years Old & Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 Years Old – Vintage Blended Scotch Whisky – 75cl – 2 Bottles
A fascinating pair of vintage Scottish blended whiskies, both bottled for the historic Italian market and dating from the classic era of Scotch whisky.
This lot contains:
1. CLUNY 12 YEARS OLD
John E. Macpherson's Blended Scotch Whisky, bottled in Scotland.
- 12 Years Old
- 75cl
- 43% ABV
- John E. Macpherson Sons Ltd., Edinburgh / Newcastle-upon-Tyne
- Established 1857
- By Appointment to the Late King George V
- Imported into Italy by D&C, Bologna
- Vintage bottling, believed to date from the 1960s to early 1970s
The bottle features the distinctive historic Cluny presentation, with royal warrant references and the original Italian-market labelling.
2. JOHNNIE WALKER BLACK LABEL 12 YEARS OLD
John Walker & Sons Ltd., Kilmarnock, Scotland.
- 12 Years Old
- 75cl
- Vintage Italian-market bottling
- Imported into Italy by Wax & Vitale, Genova
- Believed to date from the 1970s
The bottle retains the classic historic Black Label presentation, together with the original Italian government tax seal.
CONDITION:
Both bottles are original vintage examples with good remaining liquid levels.
The labels show natural ageing, patina, staining and signs of wear consistent with their age. The original neck seals and Italian tax stamps are present but are significantly aged and partially damaged. The closures remain in place.
The Cluny has a particularly attractive and well-preserved front label, while the Johnnie Walker retains its characteristic historic black and gold label and royal warrant neck label.
