Outstanding ensemble dedicated to Philippe Delaby and the world of Murena: a strong, coherent corpus gathered with care over the years.
It includes:
* The First Editions of the first 5 volumes of the Murena series, all in very good condition (just a small defect on the cover of volume 1, documented in the photos)
* 2 remarkable volumes: volume 2 in Latin edition and volume 9 in special/limited edition of 7,000 copies (with the supplement "Roma erotica")
* 3 ex-libris signed by Delaby,

• Visual: Young Lucius Murena beside a gladiator’s armor/statue. Visual tied to the mythical Volume 1 ("De sable et de sang", 1997).
• Origin / Edition: High-end offset edition produced for Librairie-Galerie « Sans Titre » in Brussels.
• Characteristics: Early series historical piece. Limited run of 300 copies, here numbered 105 / 300 in pencil. Double signature: printed monogram "Ph. Delaby 97" and original handwritten signature in silver marker.
• Condition: Excellent condition, colors wonderfully fresh (purple-marble borders), no crease.
2. Ex-libris Murena – The Gladiators (Librairie Calliope) :
• Visual: Beautiful sepia composition combining a close-up portrait of Lucius Murena in the foreground and a dynamic rough sketch showing the confrontation of two gladiators (a retiarius and a mirmillon) in the background.
• Origin / Edition: Published for the specialized bookstore Calliope (the name is stylized at the bottom center). The original drawing is signed and dated 1997 by Philippe Delaby in the mass (monogram "Ph. Delaby '97"), corresponding to the launch year of the mythical Volume 1 (De sable et de sang).
• Characteristics: Magnificent early-series ex-libris, highly sought after by purists for the finesse of Delaby’s line in the gladiator universe. Original printed signature.
• Condition: Excellent overall.
