The Book of Nature Study, edited by Bretland Farmer, is a six‑volume hardback set (1st edition, 1908–1913) in English, published by The Caxton Publishing Company and comprising 1340 pages with green decorated cloth bindings and four layered dissected models, covering mammals, birds, insects, plants, geology and meteorology.

The Book of Nature Study. Six volumes, published between 1908 and 1913 - a complete set. Large octavo, green decorated cloth with gilt lettering, slight marking to the front covers, but otherwise extremely clean and bright.
There is intermittent foxing and blotching on the text pages. Otherwise the contents of all the volumes is very good.
There are four layered dissected models - these are in very good condition, with all their layers undamaged.
Volume 1 -mammals, birds, reptiles, fishes, insects. With a dissected model of a pigeon on the front endpaper. 212 pages.
Volume 2 - entomology, the aquarium and marine life. With a dissected model of a mussel on the front endpaper. 222 pages.
Volume 3 - plant life. With a dissected model of a tulip flower on the front endpaper. 228 pages.
Volume 4 - flowering plants, ferns fungi, woodland vegetation. With a dissected model of a pea on the front endpaper. 210 pages.
Volume 5. Xerophytic vegetation; the school garden. 224 pages.
Volume 6. Meteorology, geology. 244 pages.
