BUI HUY HIEU (1937-2006) was an artist of the Vietnamese School of Fine Arts, renowned for his work on various types of fabrics and also his delicate and captivating "morning misty landscapes" produced on silk.

A superb work depicting the Chua Thay Buddhist temple and its pagoda on the water, which the artist names in the margin.

Superb work on silk depicting boats at dawn, poetically called by the artist in the margin "Qua Rung Phong Lan" (translation: "Through the forest of orchids").

Beautiful themes with very delicate tones and colour palette. A vibrant and beautiful testimony from the Vietnamese artist.
