Pair of brutalist oak nightstands – France, circa 1960

Superb pair of mid-century bedside or occasional tables, high-quality French manufacture, as evidenced by the original stamp "Ameublement NF Meuble 174".

These pieces stand out for their strong brutalist design, featuring richly carved door fronts with pyramid and three-dimensionally relief geometric motifs. Made of solid wood (light to mid oak) with strikingly contrasted grain, they rest on a sturdy yet elegant base.

Each includes a functional interior storage space, and these characterful pieces will fit perfectly in a contemporary, vintage, or eclectic interior.
