Description from the seller

Magnificent solid silver sugar bowl from the Ottoman era
Elegant solid-silver sugar bowl, Ottoman style, with a faceted shape (close to octagonal) with a bulging body and a hexagonal-edged lid.
It is adorned with a beautiful engraved (chiseled) decoration of floral motifs, garlands of leaves and scrolls typical of Ottoman style. Two small side handles in the form of a loop facilitate grip. The lid is topped by a decorative handle shaped like a stylized fruit (or flower) resting on a bed of leaves, very characteristic of Ottoman metalwork from the 19th century.
Strengths:
Solid silver
Authentic Ottoman Empire style
Fine and elegant engraved decoration (flowers, foliage, garlands)
Rare and harmonious shape
Patina of use that gives it authentic charm
Perfect for a collection of Oriental decorative arts, an Oriental tea/coffee service, or as a refined decorative object
Condition: Good overall used condition, with the traces and patina usual for an object of this age.
Note: the floral handle on the lid no longer holds and does not screw on (it is detached).
Rare and decorative piece, ideal for lovers of Ottoman art and antique objects.
