Description from the seller

Subject by Joachim Kändler 1735/1775. Jester with a pug, a very rare subject from the German Maissen manufactory. The base bears no signatures, also because sculptures from the 1740s/50s often were not marked with the two crossed swords; therefore the base shows no maker's mark. However, research on these sculptures indicates that unmarked subjects are fairly common. The sculpture is in good condition and has been cleaned of the coarse patina that still exists in a small part, specifically near the feet of the figure in question.
Comes from my private collection.
The item will be shipped inside its handmade box designed to contain it (see photo). It will be sent with an express courier and with a tracking code.
