Description from the seller
Refined and uncommon edition of Il pescatore di lucciole by Silvio Catalano, published in Milan by Edizioni del Taccuino in 1950.
The volume belongs to the limited first printing of only 50 copies, produced on special paper and accompanied by an original drawing by the author.
The copy preserves its own original color drawing on cardstock, executed by hand and housed loose inside the volume.
Particularly interesting is the presence of an autographed dedication signed by Silvio Catalano, affixed on the initial page and dated July 1951.
Edition of special typographic care, with the text reproduced in facsimile of the author's handwritten script and lithographic illustrations in the text. Editorial binding in black simulated leather with titles and decorations embossed in blue on the front board.
Copy overall well preserved, with normal signs of aging. Intact editorial binding, with slight signs of use at the margins and corners.
The pages show natural and uniform yellowing due to age, more evident along the margins.
Present the autographed dedication signed by the author, dated July 1951. Preserved together with the volume is the original color drawing on cardstock belonging to the special edition.
The photographs constitute an integral part of the description and document the conservation state of the specimen.
