Description from the seller
Antique and vintage crucifixes from the period 1900 to 1960. Origin Belgium and the Netherlands. The largest crucifix is from Belgium or France and is also called a Faux Bois, after the woodcarving of the cross. It is so artfully made that it resembles a tree trunk, with tree rings on the sides and knots around. This statue is from the late 1800s/early 1900s. The cross itself is hand-carved wood and the corpus is metal and finely detailed. Height 52 cm, width 25 cm, and depth 6 cm. The standing black altar statue is made of wood and has a classic turned stand and support. This statue has no corpus and does not belong on it. Height 32 cm, width 18.5 cm, and foot diameter 11.5 cm. The brown narrow crucifix is made of wood and the corpus appears hand-carved, but I cannot judge this well. Height 35 cm, width 15 cm, and depth 6 cm. The smallest crucifix is made of wood with a metal corpus and features a sleek, more modern design. Period 1960. Size: 25 cm high, 16 cm wide, and 3 cm deep. The lot will be well packed and traceable shipped. NOTE: NO SHIPPING OUTSIDE EUROPE.
