Description from the seller
Poster 'Polnarévolution' announcing Michel Polnareff's concerts at the Olympia from October 6, 1972, original period poster.
Dimensions: 117 cm high × 78 cm wide.
On a red background, Michel Polnareff appears with his white glasses, a floral hat and a white outfit raised to reveal his backside. This copy shows the image without the censorship banner.
Photograph by Tony Frank. The printed credits read: ‘Created by Tony Frank, Gill Paquet – Directed by Koze, Bécotte – Photo Tony Frank’.
This 1972 advertising campaign provoked a major controversy when displayed in Paris. Reported by the press and television, it became one of the most famous images of Polnareff’s career and a testament to the changing morals of the 1970s.
Condition: there are horizontal and vertical creases, folds and handling marks. Wear and localized irregularities along the visible edges. A clearly diagonal mark appears in the lower right part; its exact nature cannot be determined from the photographs. Colors remain strong and the inscriptions are clearly legible. The poster thus shows clearly visible conservation defects, to be assessed in the photographs.
Poster sold as is; musical instruments visible in the photos are not included.
