Description from the seller
Splendid and refined centerpiece dish (low pedestal) in the shape of a blooming corolla, entirely handmade with the complex technique of silver filigree. The piece features an extremely rich pierced work, with spiral motifs, vegetal details and roses inside each lobe, arranged radially around a central geometric medallion. The item is free of original punches, a feature extremely common for antique filigree from this area since the fineness of the weave did not offer flat surfaces for stamping. However, the metal has been successfully tested with a chemical reagent on a testing stone, confirming its authenticity as solid silver. Technical details:Material: Solid silver (tested)Stamps: NoneOverall weight: 153 gramsMaximum diameter: 20 cmHeight: 5.5 cmEra/Origin: Late 19th / Early 20th Century (approximately 1890-1940, Eurasian/Ottoman Manufacture)Condition of the object (Defects):Antique piece showing normal signs of time and use. As visible in the detailed photographs, the item shows some structural defects: an old restoration weld on the upper edge (between two petals) and some gaps with interruptions in the weave of the thin silver threads inside one of the radial sections. The piece preserves all of its antique and collectible charm."
