A toilet set consisting of three perfume bottles and a powder jar, in excellent condition, from William Guérin-Gérard and Dufraisseix & Abbot of Limoges, dating to circa 1891–1914, in Art Nouveau biscuit porcelain with dark red and turquoise colours and gold trim.
Description from the seller
A vanity set consisting of 3 perfume bottles and a powder dish in excellent condition (read: near mint) from the firm William Guérin & co or GDa in Limoges, which played a crucial role in the porcelain industry by producing and selling whiteware (white porcelain) to prominent names such as "Limoges", Sèvres, Porcelaine de Paris, who carried out further finishing in their ateliers
Here the Limoges stamp or another was applied together with the decoration,
Additionally a large portion of porcelain was outsourced to local painters
The mention France in green block letters (without made in france) indicates a production period of 1891-1914
The green color (France under glaze) refers to the Limoges factory
The mention decor main refers to a local artist, only a Limoges stamp still needed to be applied
The finish of this set in dark red and turquoise with gold rims together with a peony shows the high quality
The dimensions are for the perfume bottles: 14 high / 6 cm - 12 / 5.5 cm and 10 / 4.5 cm
The powder dish is 9 high / 8 cm
