An intriguing work by painter Gabriele Saleri (Brescia 1927 - Brescia 2014), oil on cardboard in good condition.
The frame is contemporaneous with the artwork and has its protective glass.
Gabriele Saleri, born in 1927, since 1945 has exhibited in both group and solo shows in Brescia, Verona, Vicenza as a professional painter.
In the book we find his landscapes of cities and villages technically flawless, lush countryside, still lifes bathed in delicate poetry, portraits that reveal spirits as well as features, sacred art full of sentiment, works that earn him esteem from art experts, yet endear him to the public who appreciates their immediate expressiveness.
His characteristic style, with a thick, impasto brushstroke, in a calm tone where color is the absolute protagonist as it shapes forms, gives them volume and texture and defines the planes of the vision, making his painting immediately recognizable even among many others, like a familiar melody.
Among his works one should recall large paintings displayed in public spaces, such as the Duomo of Brescia.
