Description from the seller

Internationally renowned, Chris van Dijk is one of the most celebrated contemporary Dutch-French Impressionist painters. His unique artworks can be found in prominent art collections worldwide. Because his paintings generally sell instantly, formal exhibitions of his work are rare; in fact, he has declined all exhibition invitations since 2005 to focus entirely on his craft.

Background & Style
Born in Den Bosch (Bois-le-Duc), The Netherlands, Chris has lived and worked in France since 2002. He is a registered artist at the National Service for Art History in the Netherlands (RKD) and an elected member of the Quia International Guild of Artists in Italy.
True to his Impressionist inspiration, Chris has devoted his life to plein-air painting. His vibrant works focus on unposed, natural scenes such as lush gardens, sunny beaches, and serene riverbanks. Art critics and experts highly praise his technique, colour palette, and sought-after subjects, making his paintings valuable assets with strong appreciation potential.

His biography is written by Claudia Moscovici, widely recognised as one of the world's top art critics (as ranked on Ranker).

Gallery France
Together with his wife, Ankie van Dijk-Mooiman, they run the website Gallery France. Ankie manages the platform, keeping the permanent online exhibition of Chris’s impressionist paintings updated, alongside her own curated sales exhibition of Art Deco antiques.
