This art chessboard is a decorative creation produced in a limited edition of only 30 copies. The piece offered here is number 1/30, the one that inaugurates the series.
The 40 × 40 cm board, made on aluminum, pairs a deep blue with ivory and gold tones. The pieces, entirely made of resin, are worked on and hand-painted one by one. Their richly embossed, deliberately Baroque decor blends intense blue, metallic patina, and gold details to give the whole a highly sculptural presence.
Designed as much as a decorative art object as as a functional chessboard, this set is particularly striking when displayed on a console, coffee table, or in a vitrine. The many hours of manual finishing make each copy slightly different and give it its own character.
