The label says: "Dominicus Montagnana sub sigurfuni Cremonae Venetiis 1733". Very beautiful in appearance. The violin is in good condition, with professionally repaired cracks on top, grafted scroll, good old rosewood fittings and new strings. Very nice flamed two pieces maple back with matched sides and neck, straight high grained spruce top. Golden-brown-reddish varnish over lighter ground remains in good condition.
Length of back is 356 mm,
whole length is 589 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 166 mm; middle bouts: 112 mm; lower bouts: 209 mm. Full size.
