Elsewhere is a large-format work from the Ethereal Blossoms series. Delicate sprigs of blossoms unfold against a multi-layered, atmospheric background and appear like a glimpse from a world that continues beyond the canvas.
Blossoms in soft pink, rose, and pale tones emerge from a play of muted blue-gray, powdery hues, and subtly shifting surfaces. Dark, flowing branches traverse the composition from different directions and extend beyond the edges of the image. This creates the impression of a larger garden that is only partly visible.
Fine golden accents between the blossoms and in certain areas of the background catch the light and alter their effect depending on light conditions and viewing angle. The combination of striking branches, soft blossom forms, and generous open spaces gives the work depth and a sense of lightness.
The title “Elsewhere” deliberately leaves room for personal associations. The image does not depict a specific place but conveys the feeling of a fleeting glimpse into another, only suggested world.
Note: The stated dimensions refer to the entire canvas. After stretching onto a frame, the visible image size will be correspondingly slightly smaller. Colors and reflective accents may appear slightly different depending on lighting conditions and monitor settings.
About the artist
Alla Faber lives and works in Hamburg. For several years she has devoted herself to abstract and contemporary painting, creating large-format works that balance between calm and movement, structure and lightness.
Her preferred materials are acrylic paints, texture gels, and metal foils – combined in delicate, often multi-layered compositions. Through gentle transitions, harmonious color gradients, and light reflections, her images do not dominate the space but fill it with quiet presence.
Her works have already been shown in several exhibitions in Hamburg, including Hamburg zeigt Kunst, Galerie Jupiter, and in HASPA branches. Works by Alla Faber are today in private collections in Europe, the USA, and the United Arab Emirates.
