Description from the seller
Splendid and rare abstract crystal sculpture titled "Ondes Brisées", born from the prestigious collaboration between designer Marc de Rosny and the historic French luxury manufactory Daum.
The work stands out for an elegant geometric structure of stepped blocks, which skillfully alternates polished surfaces with satin finishes to create extraordinary plays of light, transparencies, and geometric reflections. The sculpture is mounted on its original satin metal base, complete with a front identification plaque bearing the title of the work, the author, and the inscription "Edition Daum".
The piece bears on the crystal the official signatures incised with a diamond point: the artist's name "Marc de Rosny" on the left side and the official mark of the manufactory "Daum France" on the right, guaranteeing the total authenticity of the piece. The specimen is part of the prestigious unnumbered official series.
Conservational conditions: excellent (like new). The crystal is intact and shows no chips, scratches, pitting, or fraying along the geometric edges or on the base. A top-tier piece for collectors of art glass and 20th-century modern design.
