The U.S. M15 grenade launcher sight is an original American military aiming device from World War II.
It was introduced in early 1944 to help soldiers fire rifle grenades accurately.
Key features and compatibility: The sight is universally designed and can be mounted on the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, M1903 Springfield.
Operation: The instrument features a calibrated scale (sight bar) and an integrated bubble level to determine the correct elevation and angle for the grenade’s trajectory.
Mounting: The set consists of the folding sight itself, a metal mounting plate and the accompanying screws to screw the assembly to the side of the wooden stock.
By means of an M7 adapter that was mounted on a rifle, with the aid of a projector adapter, a hand grenade could be thrown about 200 meters farther.
