BIO
Arcangelo Ambrosi (b. 1988) lives and works in Bitonto. Drawing on a family artistic heritage, he founded his independent studio in 2015. His sculptural practice is a deep exploration of organic matter, focused on the surreal encounter between human presence and the natural world. Although his research is deeply rooted in wood — where he investigates a hybrid dimension in which the boundaries between the anatomical and the arboreal merge into a single poetic narrative — Ambrosi's vision expands through terracotta. With this primordial material, the artist shapes intimate and essential works. These tactile and earthy pieces capture the immediacy and essence of his subjects, establishing a continuous and complementary dialogue with his wooden sculptures on a larger scale.
