Description from the seller

Antonio Sciacca
Oil on canvas 90x65
Untitled
Signed on the front and back
Splendid and imposing oil painting on canvas by Master Antonio Sciacca, generously sized at 90x65 cm.
The painting represents a perfect synthesis of the artist's poetics in which figurative sacredness and historical memory dialogue with the languages of international contemporary art.
On the intense black background, to the right emerges the stylized, hydraulically rendered face of a devotional/wooden-inspired sculpture, with a solemn profile and hypnotic eyes, a hallmark of Sciacca's painting.
On the left, in stark chromatic and conceptual contrast, stands a vivid fuchsia balloon-animal of a swan that recalls the iconic Neo-Pop aesthetics of Jeff Koons.
Sciacca's painterly mastery is evident in the mirrored effect and in the highlights laid on with oil to render the balloon's synthetic, glossy material, contrasted with the warm, patinated, and almost wooden texture of the Bust.
The work is signed at the bottom left on the front.
On the back it bears the autograph and a hand-signed attestation by the artist:
"Artwork executed by me Antonio Sciacca"
Together with numbers, atelier marks, and catalog references on the wooden frame.
Handwritten signature on the front and hand-authenticated by the master on the back of the canvas.
The painting is accompanied by the original photographic documentation that shows Master Antonio Sciacca holding the work.
