Pair of oval floral still lifes by Van Herkel (born 1900), oil on wooden fiber panel.

The two works depict rich floral compositions, characterized by a decorative rendering, with numerous details and gilded accents on the painterly surface. Both are signed “Van Herkel” at the bottom of the composition.

The works come with an original Certifié de Garantie from Maison d’Art Tiziano, attributing the execution to the Flemish painter Van Herkel, born in 1900 in southern Belgium. The certificate also specifies that the artist drew upon colors and subjects from famous masters of the 17th century. The original document is included in the lot and is shown in the photographs.
