Description from the seller
Lot of 3 top Burgundy wines 1 Corton 2009, 1 Clos de Vougeot 2009, 1 Meo Camuzet NSG 1cru
The Méo-Camuzet Frère & Sœurs Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru 2016 is a highly regarded, premium red Burgundy wine produced through the négoce arm of the iconic Domaine Méo-Camuzet. Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this vintage represents a classic expression from the Côte de Nuits region, blending complexity with the signature elegance of the winemaker Jean-Nicolas Méo.
Key Characteristics & Flavor Profile
• The Producer Label: This wine bears the "Frère & Sœurs" label, designating Méo-Camuzet's high-quality micro-négoce operation, which is run with the same rigorous standard and low-intervention approach as their estate-grown wines.
• Aromas & Taste: Expect a rich and deeply aromatic nose showing ripe black cherries, wild red berries, licorice, and subtle sweet oak spices. On the palate, it balances a plush, creamy texture with vibrant acidity, revealing complex undertones of graphite and mild earthiness.
• Structure & Aging: Winemaker notes describe the 2016 vintage as soft and elegant but with excellent depth. The fine, silky tannins have integrated well over time, meaning the wine has reached a beautiful drinking window but has the balance to easily age for several more decades
The 2009 Domaine Taupenot-Merme Corton Rognet Grand Cru is a muscular, powerful red Burgundy made from 100% Pinot Noir in the Côte de Beaune region of France.
