Six-piece decorative Delft blue earthenware collection from the Netherlands, dating mainly to 1950–1980, featuring blue and white floral and windmill motifs in good vintage condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
Decorative 6-piece vintage Delft blue pottery collection, executed in the classic blue-and-white palette with Dutch windmill landscapes, floral motifs and traditional forms.
This classic collection is composed of various Dutch productions from the latter half of the 20th century. This creates an attractive ensemble of diverse shapes and decorations, ideal for a display cabinet, sideboard or traditional interior.
A special highlight within the collection is the tall BOLS jenever bottle with original ceramic stopper and vintage paper label. The bottom is marked “Delft Blue – Made in Holland – Handwerk” with code 27 DM-79/1G, which aligns well with a dating around 1979.
Also included is a small round BOLS / Zenith Gouda pitcher. Zenith was a well-known Gouda pottery factory that produced decorative ceramics for BOLS, among others.
The large flower jug is richly decorated with floral motifs and features a characteristic dark blue twisted handle. Some pieces show the fine craquelure typical of older glazed pottery, contributing to the authentic vintage character.
The set consists of:
* Large floral jug: height 21.5 cm, width 14 cm, weight 509 g.
* Vase with two handles and square foot: height 13 cm, width 11 cm, weight 246 g.
* BOLS jenever bottle with stopper: height 29 cm, bottom diameter 7.5 cm, girth 25 cm, weight 561 g.
* Round bulbous jug with mill decoration: height 12.5 cm, girth 26 cm, weight 181 g.
* Smaller bulbous jug: height 10 cm, weight 100 g.
* Round BOLS / Zenith pitcher: height 9 cm, weight 82 g.
Total weight without packaging: approximately 1.68 kg.
Material and style:
Glazed earthenware/ceramics, predominantly hand-decorated in Delft blue style. Origin: Netherlands. Period: mainly ca. 1950–1980.
Condition:
Good vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use. No damages. Locally there is craquelé in the glaze of the floral jug.
Shipping:
The six objects are packed separately and very carefully, with extra protection for the handles, spouts, feet and the ceramic stopper. Shipping with track & trace.
