A striking and exceptionally heavy ovoid vase/sculpture created by renowned French sculptor and designer Philippe Jean. Known for his masterful approach to modernist and brutalist metalwork, Jean often combined different metal textures to create unique visual and tactile contrasts.
This magnificent piece features a robust, granular cast-metal body seamlessly integrated with a warm, polished solid brass upper neck and rim via his signature interlocking geometric design. Weighing an impressive 4.35 kg and standing 32 cm tall, it has a substantial presence and exceptional balance.
