Jan Holtrop
Lemmer 1917 - 1995 Oosterbeek

Jan Holtrop was born on October 5, 1917, in Lemmer, Friesland. He lived and worked, among others, in Hilversum where he came to know the well-known painter Johan F.C. Scherrewitz (1853-1903).
Much of this is still recognizable in his painting style.
Holtrop exhibited both at home and abroad, e.g., the USA.
