France - Corps of Engineers - Military helmet - Adrian M1915

Adrian Mle 1915 Helmet – Used by the poilus of the French Army during the 1914-1918 war.

Beautiful bright light horizon blue paint on the very first model.
From July 1916, helmets left the factory with a darker, more matte paint. Helmets already issued had to be brushed with this new paint to make them less conspicuous and improve camouflage. This one has not been repainted.

Front insignia of the Military Engineers troops. Leather chinstrap. No liner.
Beautiful original piece in very good condition.
