A fine Chinese blue and white porcelain deep dish with a gently scalloped rim, finely painted in underglaze cobalt blue.
The central scene depicts two elegant ladies, or Meiren (美人), standing in a walled garden beside a tall banana plant. The broad border is divided into alternating cartouches, decorated with seated figures and geometric wan-patterns (卍), creating a sophisticated and balanced composition.
