AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Beautiful round wall plaque with a hand-painted winter landscape, mounted in a richly ornamented, presumably brass or bronze rim. The heavy edge features an elaborate relief with floral motifs, rocailles, cartouches and a pearl edge along the outer side.
The central scene shows a snowy farmyard with houses, bare trees, a barn or mill-like structure and a figure in the foreground. The work has a warm, atmospheric look and is executed in muted winter colors. The burgundy-red porcelain forms a decorative contrast.
Probably first half of the 20th century, circa 1900. On the back provided with a hanging eye.
Diameter 56 cm
Only painting 30 cm
Thickness 5 cm
Condition: normal signs of use and aging. Wear, patina and local edge.
