AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
The work depicts the sculptural profiles of two lovers captured in a moment of intense emotional closeness, suspended a hair's breadth from a kiss and wrapped by a multitude of intertwined hands that encircle their faces and shoulders. The figures emerge with a powerful physical presence and three-dimensionality from the stone material, creating a perfect fusion between figure and background and defining a dramatic dialogue between the delicacy of the lines and the restrained strength of the gesture.
The precious gold veins crossing the marble surface, the faces and the carved frame represent an explicit reference to the centuries-old art of Kintsugi, highlighting the value of cracks to symbolize the beauty of vulnerability, the complexity of human relationships, and the nobility of the wounds of the soul through the strength of union. It should be noted that the work is not a real marble high-relief or a three-dimensional sculpture, but the visual effect of a 2D canvas designed to offer an optical illusion of exceptional depth and material relief.
A conceptual collectible artwork, where immortal feeling and passion meet the discipline of classical sculpture and the philosophy of imperfection.

Seller's Story
Makayhos is a contemporary visual artist working between relief, mixed media, and fine art canvas.
His work explores the idea of time, erosion, and permanence, transforming iconic imagery into sculptural surfaces that appear carved, fractured, and fossilized.
Each artwork is conceived as a unique piece, where matter plays a central role and the image emerges from the surface rather than being placed upon it.
Makayhos’ approach moves away from traditional illustration, focusing instead on texture, depth, and a sense of suspended time.
All artworks are carefully produced, documented, and shipped with professional packaging.
