• Ready to Frame

This vibrant original painting by Disney artist Tony Fernandez pays tribute to Henri Matisse’s celebrated Landscape near Collioure, one of the defining masterpieces of the Fauvist movement. Reimagined through the joyful presence of Donald Duck, the composition blends the expressive freedom of Matisse’s bold colour palette with the timeless charm of Disney’s most spirited character.

Strolling along a sunlit path surrounded by luminous blues, emerald greens, and brilliant yellows, Donald seems to have wandered directly into one of Matisse’s landscapes. The loose brushwork, vivid colour harmonies, and simplified forms faithfully capture the atmosphere of the original painting while introducing a playful narrative that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly contemporary.
