A German-made Juwelier Hörl prototype Space Age wall clock from the 1970–1980 period, a square 24 × 24 cm brass and gold-tone metal piece 3 cm deep and weighing 500 g, in excellent condition, not striking and in working order.
Description from the seller
Vintage Space Age Wall Clock – Juwelier Hörl Augsburg (1970s Gold & Brass Edition)
in excellent working condition - no reserve
Up for sale is a rare, authentic handmade unique Space Age wall clock originally created as an exclusive display prototype by the prestigious German jeweler Juwelier Hörl Augsburg.
This sophisticated mid-century modernist timepiece features a square face constructed from a quadrant layout of four grain-brushed gold tone metal sheets, altering direction to beautifully catch the light. The dial is defined by a floating, translucent smoked brown plexiglass or acrylic ring.
Instead of numbers, the hours are represented by twelve raised, highly polished cylindrical brass studs, creating a brilliant three-dimensional effect typical of 1970s European pop art design objects.
Specifications
• Design Era: 1970s Space Age
• Origin: Juwelier Hörl Augsburg (Germany)
• Dimensions: 24.0 cm x 24.0 cm x 3.0 cm
